The passing of Yoshiko Sensei

On April 17, 2024, Devorah Yoshiko Dometrich passed away after a short illness. We are devastated at her loss, and no one can ever replace her. For 47 years she served as kaicho (president) of Ryukyu Kobudo Hozon Shinko Kai in the United States, and she is greatly missed. Her students are pledged to carry on her teachings in accordance with her wishes.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in memory of Devorah to Cancer Research of the donor's choice.
