Our President

Kabboord Sensei became a deshi (disciple) of Samuel Palmer Sensei, in 1974. He trained with him six days a week in Shorin Ryu Matsubayashi Ryu, until Palmer’s Sensei’s death in 1978 when he then opened his own dojo.

He became a deshi of Hanshi Frank Grant in 1986 and a deshi of Devorah “Yoshiko” Dometrich Sensei in 1994.

January 13, 2024, at the Embu Tai Kai to honor Akamine Sensei, Dometrich Sensei promoted Kabboord Sensei to Rokudan - Shihan, her now senior deshi. She has entrusted him with teaching Ti (karate) and waza  (technique) to her students.

In a phone conversation a week and a half before she passed, Dometrich Sensei appointed Kabboord Sensei keeper of the Inkan and certificates and to make and keep recorded. He is the lead administrator and teacher of Ryuku Kobudo Hozon Shinko Kai Beikoku So Honbu, establishing an alliance with all the Shibu of Dometrich Sensei in accordance with her wishes.
